LOCATION: Bloomfield Centre (Playroom, Redstone Rd, Narberth SA67 7ES

WORKSHOP INSTRUCTOR:     Cynthia Popnoe-Hoad (Oxford Punch Needle Certified Instructor)

COST: £45.00. (tea and biscuits provided)

MATERIALS INCLUDED: 14” x 14” piece of Monk’s Cloth for punching (allowance made for stretching over frame and hemming).  100% Wool Yarn - hand dyed (both solid and spot dyed colours).

MATERIALS TO BE BORROWED DURING CLASS (with option of purchasing after class).

1) #10 Regular Oxford Punch needle

2) 8” x 8” Oxford Gripper Strip Lap Frame

SUPPLIES TO BRING: Small scissors such as embroidery scissors.

SKILLS YOU WILL LEARN:

  • Stretching monk’s cloth onto gripper frame.

  • Threading a Punch Needle

  • The “Three Tricks”

  • Stitch Gage (number of stitches for outlining and filling)

  • Row spacing

  • Bricking Stitches

  • How to fix mistakes.

  • Finishing Techniques.
